He wasn't the top player. That honor goes to Mathieu.... I dare you to argue that. The kid was a monster last year
I was just going by the Rivals ranking.
And for now I can't argue that, considering Reed redshirted. But had he played, he would've started and put up good numbers IMO.

Did you see what little 5'8 Mathieu did to burns? He hit him after newton completed a pass to him at the 3 from the endzone, Mathieu then drives him back and slings burns down in the endzone. Afterwards he stands over him beating his chest
SWAG!! Reed plays two downs and gets injured NOT SWAG

He tackled a converted QB. Congrats. He probably should've been trying to help stop the running game, because the front 7 sure needed it
ETA: I'm out. No reason for me to argue for a player who hasn't played yet

I don't doubt you were, but they barely even covered the state of LA the last few years. It's pretty obvious from them not having Freak as the top DT in the nation or a 5 star till the UA game. Hell it took them forever to give most the LA guys their deserving spots.
Recruiters are broken up into regions, and LA was left bare. no one would go see them unless it was a big game. Most the video rivals put out on LA recruits were taken from Youtube.

Reed's a liiiiittlle bit better than Burns…
But like I said in my last ETA, I'm done arguing this

Was he one of the ones chasing after newton?

You don't ever want to play him inside on turf.

You know the starting spot Burns had in the slot this year? Reed had it until the coaches discovered his unrecovered knee injury. And he was the starter at wildcat QB

Doubt it ... mathieu was used in the Nickle for blitzes
In fact, the biggest hit we got all game on newton was Traw's hit that knocked Newton the ground. 5'8 180 >>>>>6'6 250

Don't doubt it, Cam left T-Rex laying on the ground, like most of the LSU defense. He's #14 in the vid, right?

Looks like he was coming to hit, not chase
He got him good later in the game.

No you were going by the PRESEASON Rivals' ranking. The postseason rankings had Mathieu #1. Also Reed will never amount to anything, he has no heart. He laid down and quit on his team his last high school game. He got the shite beat out of him by Jordan Allen and Chucky Hunter and flat out quit. Here is Jordan beating Robinson and destroying Reed. After that hit, Reed didn't want to play anymore. He only played a few more plays then stayed out of the game.

Uhh no. Reed was #1 in the postseason rankings.

He quit and that's why he took himself out of the game? Not according to his coach:
quote:
Granier played most of the second half as Reed injured his ankle trying to recover an onside kick in the third quarter.
“(Reed) is not on (the onside kick) team, and he ran on that field and tried to make a play. He is such a competitor,” Lorio said.

Quit hating on Reed

Again, Rivals had NO ONE covering LA.
