So the aggies have a prancing collie as their mascot? Everything about them is gay.

Hounds like blue ticks, walkers, red bones, and black and tans tend to be very standoffish overall in my experience. They are also incredibly annoying with the howl/bark. I would only want a hound if I was a hunting person with a kennel beyond earshot of the house.
English bulldogs do have some serious medical disadvantages living in the South, but personality wise they are awesome. Very few of them are mean, and most love hanging around a family. They would make a far better pet than a hound.
Shelties are very nice, even the one that has been chasing my car for 2 1/2 years, but WOULD NOT want that coat in the South.
Then again, I am a Boxer person all the way.

Outside UGA, Mike, Raplhie , Bevo, Renegade, & Spirit / Tiger.
There really isn't a contest, Revellie & Smokey are second teir.
Here's why... What does either of them have to do really with their actual mascot. Smokey is the Volunteers hunting dog, and I have no idea what a collie has to do with an aggie?
For pets, a collie and bulldog work , but aren't BTs usually just for hunting. Most of the time they are kept pinned up.
