Never seen a coach look that pathetic. This may be the worst “DeBoer face” ever.
I like the guy. But this dude is not made for SEC football, let alone Alabama. Frick this shite. Someone please make a gif of this I beg you.

It's already been making the rounds on Vol Twitter, don't worry.
Neyland tends to do this to coaches and players alike. It's not just DeBoer.

You sound like someone who gets mad when the coach isn't reflecting their own emotions.
That guy isn't as angry and upset as I am, how dare them!
It was a false start penalty, he better throw that headset!

I think what most fail to realize is there might not be a dominant sec team for a while. We saturated the league with texas and oklahoma plus the nil and portal its a completely different game. I dont think we have seen anyone stake claim to how to do it over and over yet. People want to crown Kurt but he did bring an entire team that played together and their schedule is dog shite. I am not crowning his arse yet.

Not another stadium in America that could have a coach tweaking on the sidelines like that

There are no more dominant teams period. NIL and the portal prevent the elite programs from stashing talent on the sidelines for a year or two.
Take any of Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, etc. best squads from the 2010s and line them up against the top 5 in 2026 and they’d be 20+ point favorites

Georgia is 10-4 since 2000.
(And yes, I checked to make sure we didn't play y'all there this year. Not on the schedule)

Honestly, that looks like a man trying not to cry

Might happen again eventually but right now there is a lot of trial and error going on with roster management. Everyone is learning. Someone might eventually develop a system but nothing seems to be concrete thus far.
Indiana had a bunch of old dudes last year. Fully developed and had been playing with each other for a while. And then they got some NIL funds from Mark Cuban to fill in the other spots.
I think that might be the way to go with lineman especially. That is the core of the team. Get those guys that will stick around for 4 or 5 years and get coached up without demanding millions etc. If I was a HC, I'd be using the bulk of those extra 30 scholarships on lineman like that. 5 star out of highschool is great, but that 5th year lineman who has been hungry and working his arse off is going to do just as well, better when it comes to understanding and experience, and would be depth at worse.
Do it old school, mostly freshman and weed them out and keep the ones that work Rudy style. Portal in some talent at the skill positions if needed. Pay them up when they get to their final years.
Because I still believe games are won and lost at the line of scrimmage.
I don't see a better option than DeBoer. Every coach someone will name has the same kind of losses etc. Some Alabama fans lack perspective.

I think that's how you have to approach HS NIL, whether it's a 3 or a 5-star kid. Give them an incentive to stick around for the long haul.

I mean you would, think being the HC at Souix Falls where he won 90% of his games would have prepared him for this.

He gotta shite but he can't he is coaching

Exactly. Who is gonna come up with the recipe. You gotta have a team. Not a group of individuals to do it for one.
