Jimbo hasn't even come close to suggesting his system is the problem. He says they're close, but the players need to execute better.
Jimbo is never giving up play-calling and A&M has no leverage whatsoever to make him do it.

And generally when a HC brings anyone someone to a staff, especially an important of a position like OC is, they have worked with them in the past. Now combine that with the idea that the hypothetical new OC most likely will be only being in one or two coaches max to help get his system up and running.
Jimbo isn’t going to give up control of the offense and more importantly who else would have to get let go to allow the new OC to bring his guys? How on the O isnt one of the FAU crew?
So yeah, A&M could float 1M+ for a new OC, but I got a feeling that unless it is someone that is looking for a career rebuild (Herman) they pool
Is going to be fairly small and Jimbo may use that as a way to say “look I tried but couldn’t get who we needed” and stay at status quo.
