Perhaps but The Rant won't ban posters from another team's fan base unless they are extreme... I haven't found a Bama message board that will allow any rival posters unless you're there to kiss Bama's arse... Conclusion: We may bitch and moan but we're more tolerant than Bama fans.

Let me put this out there. These issues come of expansion. This mega-conference trend is not new, it was the norm 100 years ago. They broke up due to the same principles I think this will break up. A&M had to stop a tradition to get in while MSU keeps one that is much more unfair. The same authority that touts tradition for keeping TSIO and UGA/AU. You don't think new members (and some original members) don't see this hypocrisy? 20 years from now I don't think we'll see 5 mega conferences split from the NCAA. I think it more like likely we see a much pared down SEC (if it is even called that)...imo.

the Gumps are pissed because people are beginning to think their championships & reputation have been manufactured like wrestling stars.
They are pissed because there will be changes and they can't compete in the SEC on a level playing field. (Refs scheules etc)
