Actually, it confirms what everyone suspected all along. If it was just magic fairy dust, then it wouldn't be a banned substance by the PGA. Nor would Bama send them a "cease and desist" letter. Do they do that to dairy companies when the players drink their milk?

The wrangler fella seems to be a little disjointed about the news of Bama players snorting Deer.
hope that jdm character misses the use of news in my post. He gets all weird about it.

IGF is banned. Since IGF is in the antler stuff....it is banned too. However, IGF in spray form (like that of the antler stuff) is scientifically insignificant and incapable of being passed to the user for any benefit.

Bama sent them a cease and desist letter because they were trying to use student athletes to promote their product. Schools send out tons of these every year.

The substance in question has to be given through the blood stream in order for it to be effective. These players used it as a freaking nasal spray. That makes it about as useless as a flat tire. If PEDs could be given through a spray then there would be no need for needles.

The same cease and desist letter went out to T-Town Menswear. Why? Because Saban and UA compliance didn't want these assholes giving our players free stuff. That's an NCAA violation.

I think this whole thing is just hilarious. I'm not sure what's funnier; the whole deer antler spray thing or the Gumps getting their panties in a wad about it.

So do I. And what makes me laugh even harder are the idiots who actually think something is going to come out of this.

Just try envisioning a room full of jocks spraying Gawd-knows-what into their mouth for the extra 'ummph'. Be a great Seinfeld segment.

People are still talking about this?

That we agree on. Or is it funnier that some people think that we think something is going to come of this?

It's funny that Aubs think something should come from this, but won't only because the NCAA is in Bama's pocket.

If you barnies really believe that your players used so much of this guys stuff but never tried his main pitch you are not very bright. Saw an Aubie poster say today that he knows for a fact that Mario fannin was using the spray in 2010... doesn't matter this stuff doesn't absorb and doesn't provide an edge. If bama is going down over this so are half the teams in the sec and a bunch of nfl players.

The fact that no UA players tested positive for PEDs after the 2011 championship game, however, is of no surprise to Key.
"IGF-1 synthetic is a no-no, but you can't ban natural IGF-1," Key said. "You'd have to keep every one of those athletes away from milk and meat. Can you do that? Can you enforce that? No, you can't. That's why the NCAA needs to educate itself on the difference between synthetic and natural. ... These ballplayers have done nothing wrong. They have found a good supplement that is natural and will never cause them to fail a drug test and perform at a high level. What is wrong with that?"

Just the facts, you barnies can't have it both ways. Either this is a huge deal and any program who has dealt with this guy is going down, or it's nothing since this stuff is scientifically proven to be nothing more than a placebo. Which one is it?

Yes. Auburn has players that have used it.
