i watched the carolina game again yesterday and oh my god. if we had a good, not even a great staff and an OL worth a shite then jesus this team would be scary

I remember thinking the same thing about Fulmer in 2007.
Due to an easier schedule and lucky wins, we backed into the SEC title game and had to keep his fat incompetent arse another year.

I'd rather have Richt that Smart...just sayin'.

that's what so frustrating about all of this. this team is real good and i am the homer that will go out on a limb and say that despite being 0-2 we were more talented than both teams
maybe not the same level of play makers but overall this has been the better team. and honestly i think we will have the more talented team the rest of the year yet we will still lose. and there is only one place to look when that happens.

And give him a contract extension.

what was fulmer's contract looking like in 2007? seriously, just curious. it just so happens Richt's decline coincides with the end of his contract, what did fulmer have left?

i don't think i would. smart would be an sickening hire but we'd at least revamp the whole staff

Not exactly sure, but he got a one year extension after making the title game.

that'd happen here too. that UT team was a lot older IIRC though, our team is a bunch of youngins so idk if they will have the ability to pull a similar run

i agree with all else you say except we will not even consider bowden, leach, and especially rich rod
I don't think you will consider any of that three either. My point is that their names will be mentioned as "possible candidates" (at least Leach & Rich Rod will), but it isn't legit. I've seen agents float names for jobs that their client is not a candidate for and does not want, but they need the buzz created.

See, with Richt I'm always pissed but there's always that hope for the future that we'll one day be rid of him and make that knock out hire. With Smart, we already fired Richt, hired a frickbag, and proved that there is no hope and never will be any hope for UGA football...and we now have a doucher for a coach. I would likely shut down at that point; quit following college football all together, spend all day Saturday during the fall in bed with the curtains drawn, haunted by nightmares of "3rd and 14, Bulldogs on their own 28. The ball is snapped. Draw play, up the middle, Carlton Thomas. 2 yard gain. Here comes the punt team."

I'm not sure how young Georgia is. However, I'm pretty sure we did have a decent number of guys returning for 2008, too.

richt just needs to go 6-6 and most of your fanbase will pipe down
There is a lot of truth in that. 8-2 saves his job without a doubt.

it sucks how this is going to be a program defining hire. if we get anyone less than a proven HC i may have to do the same. UGA has been such a group of frick sticks when it comes to this. if we hire kirby smart i will hire a hit man and take out michael adams. what if it isn't his decision? don't care.
if we hire gary patterson i will implode with pure elation. will it happen? nope, we are georgia, we don't do smart things
HERE COMES CARLTON

i could so little a shite how he did it. i would be completely fine with that and paying him $10M a year and raising my tuition to fricking stupid levels for it to happen

we return guys but my point is that the the youth will slow this team's development this year.
oh and he is just trying to get me mad and it usually works

There is no way this UGA team wins the East.
