Same record in the division. Auburn had one more overall loss. If you do overall record, why schedule tough OOC games?

actually, no team had anything to do with it. when the powers that be instructed the cfp committee to take the "4 BEST Teams" rather than the "4 Best Conference Champs", that created this confusion.

We know. You're going to claim the SEC Championship too.

No, you didn't.
Google, Wikipedia, ESPN, and everyone else has Georgia playing Auburn in the 2017 SEC Championship. Alabama didn't play in the SEC Championship and therefore, could not have won it.
No matter how much your ego and sense of pride compel you to claim or boast about it, Alabama DID NOT win the SEC Championship.
Did Alabama win the College Football Playoffs? Yes
Did Alabama win the SEC Championship? No
Hopefully, this clears up the confusion for some of you.

I am advocating a model similar to the NFL. Best overall record is first criteria. Might as well stop pretending because Bama is getting in no matter what.

The SECCG: “It just means more....time for Alabama to rest and game-plan for the CFB Playoff.”
