If georgia makes the playoffs it wouldn't hurt my feelings to see:

2. Cincinnati
3. Michigan
4. Notre Dame
No shite. Georgia would be a 1/5, maybe higher, favorite to win it, if it's those 4 teams.

Of course UGA should be ranked as 1. They have the best players, the best coaches, played the toughest schedule. Why not keep them @1. This year’s championship will go right along with all their others

We know they aren’t going to put Bama/UGA at #1 and #4 or #2 and #3 to avoid the instant rematch.
So how do you rank them? Leave UGA and #1 and Bama at #2?
Will be interesting.
This is a melt by the way.
PS- They should to show the rest of the country that both actually were the best.

Thanks, so bama dropped from 1 to 5 after they got beat by the aggies.
So i suspect that if UGA loses to bama, they'd end up at 4.

They absolutely did not.

They might drop them to 4 but I think they would most likely drop to 3. The other teams in the running for 3/4 do not have as good of a resume as UGA.

So bama. was #1 and 5-0 at week 6.... then week 7 they were 5-1 and #5.
I can see your confusion.

The rankings were not out when Alabama got beat by Texas A&M. The Coaches and AP poll have no bearing on the Playoff rankings.
I can see your confusion.

Typical bama fan... you can't understand things. But i get it.... because the CFP rankings weren't out, you don't recognize bama's drop in the Top 25 rankings.

No its not. The Dawgs are a lock win or lose.(Unless they lose by 30.)
Why is this even being talked about?

I do understand now, your stupidity is what drives people insane.
The whole point of this topic is the College Football Playoff Rankings. Alabama dropping in the AP and Coaches poles has no bearing on what the committee does with their rankings. You’re trying to compare apples and oranges.

I agree. People can say they will drop out but who would you replace them with? A one loss UGA has a better resume than Ok St, Cinci, ND, and OU.

I said weeks ago the committee very well could drop UGA out if they lose to Alabama. There would be great pressure not to have 2 SEC teams unless they have no choice.
That loss would expose UGA 's schedule, with few quality wins, and give the committee cover.
I remember the media members saying no non conference champs back during the BCS days when Bama got in with the close loss to LSU, and they were clearly the 2 best teams.
Before the Leghumpers cry, I never said you deserved it, but I see it happening.
You gumps are getting desperate.
Georgia is not being left out of the playoff.

Very real possibility. If we can beat Alabama and Michigan beats Ohio State, I think that is what the pairings would be.

Yes, and I'm talking about how bama dropped 4 spots after a loss to where UGA may end up if they lose. So if you're saying the top 25 rankings are irrelevant, then fine. Didn't mean to get your panties in a wad over a change in topics from the original post.
Here let me apologize......
