motivation not to suck, I guess.

But still, that's a solid way to piss programs off.

None in my mind. There's a reason the SEC is so strong, and the Big 12-2 is so weak.

And that's it.

Look at the fiasco the Big 12 is in thanks to UT, OU, and TAMU getting all the moolah. No thanks.

It's all cylical. A program goes on a multiple year downswing and they get dropped in revenue immensely, it's going to piss them off.

Hell no. It has destroyed the Big XII. Don't want to lose the SEC.

I don't know the numbers off hand, but TAMU is straight up bankrupt with their athletic department right now. I don't think they got a good piece of the pie.

Definitely true for the big boys of the SEC though.

Be nice. He's just as bored as the rest of us. I gotta give him credit where credit is due, I haven't seen this kind of topic before.

You know it looks as though it is working out great for Texas

Only if Alabama gets more money than the rest of the SEC teams. If not, the SEC should stick to equal revenue sharing.

This is kinda like the conference changes. At first I was kind of excited to think we'd get some more teams, but now I'm glad the SEC just sat back and watched. The SEC is a beast and needs no part of expansion.

The Ags had to borrow money from the general fund for their athletics before last season. Under the new "deal", Texas, Lil Tx Ags and Oklahoma will get $20 mil each out of the league.

Texas might wind up having to go independent before all is said and done.
