Should Nate Oates simply embrace his autism at this point?

The more the spotlight is on him, the more clear it becomes that Oates is on the spectrum. Coming out as autistic and proudly embracing his identity is the best thing that he could do for his public image right now. His lack of social awareness could take some of the scorn off Oates from his seemingly callous comments in the last week, and potentially take some of the blame off him for not knowing what kind of person Miller truly is and not keeping a closer eye on him. That could help restore his reputation. And becoming the first openly autistic head coach in major sports, especially one who's having succes, would make Oates a media darling when he's currently on the brink of becoming one of the biggest villains in the sport

Hell yes. I hope he gets his own Netflix series. Coaching on the Spectrum. We’ve had some good ones in this conference.

Didn’t know he was autistic. Maybe that explains some of his bizarre decisions and lack of empathy. He needs his meds fast

Oates could become the Marie Kondo of teaching us how to overcome social anxiety

Kingpin of a criminal enterprise. He's even dumber than Miller and the walkon.

Do you think I’m unaware of how this game works? Or are you just annoyed that I’m participating?

I don't think he's autistic at all. Not like it suddenly developed. He's just guilty and shitty at lying.

Did you watch Love on the Spectrum on Netflix? It was intriguing.

I mean this is a joke but I think he is like a lot of coaches (Harbaugh is a prime example) who is absolutely somewhere on the spectrum.

Very very good at what they are good at, oblivious to a lot of the outside world. Tons of those guys in coaching.

He could do to college basketball what Temple Grandin did to the livestock industry

Oates is not "guilty" of anything and I have no idea if he's lied about anything. I do know he and the AD were handed a grenade and threw it straight up in defense.

Speaking of inherent dysfunction, the Tuscaloosa Potato Chip Co. fails to recognize just how annoying all of his posts are.
