Good coach who isn't getting a lot of support from school with facilities IMO. Hard to win in the SEC without bullets in the gun.

Why is bama an impossible place to recruit to?

Because

A lot of those limitations can be cured with simply putting more money/emphasis into the program.

Isn't happening. All of those limitations except the lottery benefit could be cured by the University putting the money it most definately has into the program. So far it hasn't happened, so it's pretty impossible to recruit to Alabama for baseball. That's why his last recruiting class was so amazing. Now it appears we'll be getting a new facility, if that happens we should see a return to prominence before too long.

Absolutely.

Sums it up best IMO. It just cracks me up when these Alabama fans who really don't follow the program show up to call him out. Nobody is going to win big at Alabama until a committment is made by the administration. Gaspard is a guy that could win big if he's given anything close to a level playing field to work with.

Based on what? He's never actually built a program.

ETA: I strongly urge anyone that responds to this to not bring up what he did at Northwestern St as evidence of him building a program.

And in 95% of those years our facilities weren't at the bottom of the league. At one point the Joe was a top notch facility, in the last 15 years almost every SEC school has made improvements to their baseball facilities and flown by us while we've stood pat. The lack of attention the program gets from the administration is also second to none.
