Nope. They'll be counting down til BBall when they lose and fall back to the norm of 4-8.
Plenty of our fans prefer football over basketball.

You talking about UF or UK?

Only when they win a game. If that ever happens.

Bigger question, will UT fans storm the field if they ever beat the Gators? A decade of defeat and counting!

Sure. If they don't do it this year it may never happen.

Agreed. And, it's their superbowl. They'll storm the field should they win.
Added: This is the best they've been in 28 forevers and the worst we've been in many moons. If not now, when?

You have a REALLY short memory. In 2007 both teams were ranked and college gameday was in Lexington. I think UK was actually favored but I could be wrong on that. UF had Tebow. UK had Andre Woodson, who was considered a Heisman candidate at the time, Stevie Johnson, and several other guys who are still in the league.
eta: Also a bunch of other years UK was better than they are/probably will be this year.

UK was a 7 point dog in 2007 and this year is a 3 point dog at home.
I remember Andre well. He was pretty fun to watch. He's coaching WRs at Moorehead State right now if you are interested in what he's been up to.
Edit: this ironically is post #28

Well my point is that UK was better than this current UK team in 1998, 1999,2002,2006,2007,2008 and maybe 2009, just off the top of my head.

Ok. I used hyperbole perhaps as you did yesterday. It happens on message boards.
It's all speculation. I keep hearing UK fans saying that they have the athletes to compete with UF now. That must mean this is one of their better teams in the last 28 years but I've never heard a UK fan say this before.
My only point was this is UKs time to beat UF. If not this year, when? We are awful. Just read this board. Folks will tell you we are a straight dumpster fire. No way UK should lose to a dumpster fire. Right? If it doesn't happen this year...

UK will be better next year. So will UF. What's your point? UF will probably never reach the level they did in the mid-late 2000's. That was an anomaly in the history of UF football.
That's why the play the game. Upsets happen all the time. It might not happen this year but it can't go on forever.

Also, I think so far McElwain is an OK but unimpressive (so far) hire. But it's early. He won't be as bad as Boom, but worse, he could be just good enough to stick around a little too long. I don't think he'll bring UF back to the promised land by any means.

Uk. 4-8 hasn't been the norm at UF in decades.
Posted on 9/17/15 at 8:33 am to TJGator1215
02, 03 and last year were UKs best shots. How they lost 03 still boggles my mind.

It's not like UF just dominated UK every single year. A lot of years they did, even when on paper they shouldn't have. But a lot of bad luck has gone UK's way in this series, culminating last year with the expired play clock. I think it HAS to go UK's way this year.

Well, that much we agree on.
I don't really pay much attention to fans from other teams that claim coach a will do this or never do that. If you have some sort of crystal ball then I'm going to care about some stock picks and some future football scores. I'm not going to bother with whether or not Boom leads the Colts to the superbowl in 2020

Wouldn't be the first time.

OK. You are saying that UF will never win another national championship and UK will not return to the basement of the East? Do I have this correct?
