I don't think he will but it is an interesting question to entertain.

What's the best business decision for him? Does skipping the season hurt his stock?

For reference- Just heard ESPN talk about it and NBC sports suggested it earlier this morning in this article.

This thread is posted once every 4-6 hours.

Ill recap the responses so we can just anchor this.

LSU Fans: Yall skurred; tFear

Every other fanbase: Hell yeah he should, no need getting injured when he would be a high draft pick (translated to "I sure fricking hope so because the dude is a beast and we are in fact scared of him, but cant admit it because then we look like bitches")

I'll never blame a SEC RB for going as quick as he possibly can go. Just too much wear and tear at that position.

And miss the chance to run through Auburn's defense next year? that's like taking money out the pocket.

People say that but I don't follow. Gurley has no love for UGA and would have bolted early in a heartbeat if he could have. I think if you asked Lattimore he would tell you not to skip it. That guy was solid.

Why should he play if he is so good? It is actually a dumb and lazy question.

If Election Day wasn't the week of the Bama game I'd vote for him for POTUS

are these same people telling him to skip a season gonna be the same ones who say he bailed on his team and his selfishness cost LSU if LSU flounders in 2016 without him?

It would be a shame but he should stop playing immediately to save himself for the NFL.

The point was both those guys were running backs, projected high picks and both suffered devastating knee injuries their JR years...

I don't buy that argument. Injuries are a part of the game, and the horrific ones are rare.

The schools take out huge insurance policies to help the players hedge their bets.

Regardless, I tend to agree with what Marshall Faulk said this morning. Sitting out next year benefits him in no way. He needs to keep getting reps in order to better himself as a player.

1. Get a long, sharp needle.
2. Stick it in your eyes.
3. Claim it's because of your Oedipal complex.

The PLAYERS take out their own policies and they are very pricey. There is also a limit on the payout.

Lattimore's policy was for $1.7 mil, which is alot, but WAY less than what a successful NFL career would have paid him. It's a nice safety net, but it's not like someone can step off for good with $1.7 Mill in the bank.
