should be a standard you have to meet

I think to play football in the SEC the program should have to meet a standard in a 5 year probation period. Number 1 you should have to recruit at least 40% of your recruits should be 4 star and 5-star recruits set by professional recruiting experts. In the 40 sec. games in the 5 year period you should have at least a 40% winning %. You must average at least 50000 fans on the home 20 games in the 5 year period. This will eliminate the dead weight in the conference and not have games like Georgia vs Vanderbilt Mizzou vs Alabama

This tells me you do not know what on earth you are talking about.

Seems like a good way to not have any program join your conference

Do you know how many 4 and 5 star recruits there are every year and how many each team would need to meet your standard?

You have come to the right place for this theory.

I don’t have the data in front of me but I think there are only like four or five programs in the whole country that recruit that well.

Say good bye to Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, and Vanderbilt.
Now that's a good hose cleaning.
Replace them with Clemson, FSU, UNC, UVa, UCF, and either TTU or OSU-Stillwater.

Probably but I’d be surprised if anyone in the conference was currently doing it’s consistently other than LSU Ua and UGA. I’m not putting in work for a worthless OP either.

what do you mean don't know what I am talking about you think a team is ever going to compete with Georgia or Alabama with the majority of 3-star recruits no way. Schools have to step up their games if they want to play in the SEC. Why should Vandy, Mizzou, maybe South Carolina, and Tennesee be allowed to stay at the conference if they can't get better? There are other lower-level conferences they can play in.

Ole Miss tried to step it up a few years with recruiting. They beat bama two years in a row and got slapped with recruiting violations. I think there’s only 25-30 five stars and 100 4 stars every year. 40% threshold is impossible and would create a super conference that would rotate through every year

Go reread what you posted. Do the math on how many scholarship players are on each team. Then go find out how many 4 and 5* players there are each year. Then find out how many schools play football.
See if that helps you find your way to your stupid post.
Not to mention there is this thing called coaching and development. You don't have to be a 5* in high school to be an all American in college or a pro in the NFL.

Teams that hit that standard of recruiting:
2021: 5
2020: 8
2019: 8
2018: 8
2017: 5
The obvious 5 (every year): UGA, Bama, LSU, aTm, UF
Not so obvious (multiple): Auburn, UT, USCjr
None, but competitive: Ole Miss, Arkansas

I'm not sure about the 150 estimate of 4 & 5 star recruits annually.
24/7 Top 247 recruits are all graded 4* or above.

Aren’t there only like 30-40 5* every year?

Don't "should" all over yourself.
