If I loved auburn football enough to pay 180-200k to the newtons and then the NCAA asked me to come forward to rat them out, of course I would.

And he's a freaking bammer. That's like J Lee accusing B Calloway of having his dad's mortgage paid.

That's definitely false.

Regardless of whether they find definitive proof that the Newtons were paid is irrelevent in the long run IMO ... if it is indeed true, as Sheriden claims, that there are many people high in the NCAA that were upset how the Newton situation played out, you can rest assured that they won't stop until they get Auburn on something, possibly totally unrelated to Newton.
None of this is good for Auburn IMO. The best thing that Auburn could hope for is everyone to quit talking about, cooperate with the NCAA and maybe make a few more friends in high place with the NCAA and hope that everything fizzles out.
Chizik's move with the NCAA chick certainly didn't help matters. To an extent, I feel sorry for Auburn because there's really no good that can come from all of this ... it can only get worse. There's nothign that Auburn can do to convince the public that Newton wasn't paid, so there's nothing positive that can come from further investigation into the matter IMO.

you just said it would get better by not talking about it

You know what is going on between Auburn and the NCAA behind closed doors?

Here's a connection that might need to be made here.
If he is right and they are waiting on a confession, could it be someone connected to the trial on going. Could that be the source. I HIGHLY WANT TO STRESS THIS.. the FBI is involved period. Bond stated the reason was they did not want kids being bought or shopped.

I just don't see how it could get any better. The status quo is the absolute best case scenario for Auburn, and that's my point: the status quo is not good ... none of this is good PR for Auburn. Could it be worse? Certainly, Auburn could end up getting hammered. But I just don't see any result where Auburn comes out clear in the after-shocks of all of this.
It's just not a good position for AU to be in right now IMO. Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of upside to it.

I don't want it to be true. But I'm a rational person and have seen enough to make my mind up.
I really hope this all turns out to be a bunch of BS because I don't want anyone in the SEC to be spoken of cheating and I want everyone on an even playing field.
If the NCAA says that was is being said is true than I want a fair punishment.
I know my sentiments aren't shared by all Bama fans but I think the majority who aren't just dumbfricks with a keyboard agree with me.

I got to catch the last hour on the drive home and Danny Sheridan sounds like a dumbass. I don't think he knows much it's just what he believes. As much as i would like to see AU get hammered I will not get my hopes up until the NCAA makes the final verdict. Until then AU is clean.

No but I can read quotes and understand an argument that your coach started. I can tell you that AU elected to play CAM after SLIVE told you about possible issues (that was july of last year). I can tell you that even though you applied for a reinstatement that it won't matter.
MOST OF ALL... IF THEY FOUND A BAG MAN.. AU is DONE!
