He’s way too inconsistent and goofy. Nice guy but lots of boneheaded mistakes over the years. Every year we have the talent but he seems to muck it up. We lose games we shouldn’t and win games we shouldn’t. He’ll, a couple of years ago we should have been in the playoffs and it’s been downhill sense. We need a whole new coaching staff. Sellers isn’t the god he was supposed to be. The backup throws a better call and makes good decisions. I think he’s gone unless we win 9 or 10 games. That’s not gonna happen. Good game M state btw.

It’s South Carolina. They’re not likely to be in the playoffs in most years. He’s done a decent job.

The coach at FSU probably has the hottest seat in the country. His seat was probably in full blaze before the season even started. He has done nothing but crank the temperature up even more on the hot seat since the season has kicked off.

Yeah, maybe not. Not every team has immediate playoff expectations. But you want to see improvement year over year. Or at least not regression.

When Beamer went all in on Sellers, he probably sealed his fate. To me Sellers is TEMU Milroe. Can look great on explosive plays but is way to inconsistent to carry a team. Good luck with finding a new coach.

As a longtime South Carolina fan going all the way back to the Sparky Woods days, I can truly say Shane Beamer is the only head coach we’ve ever had that I’ve absolutely hated. I can’t stand the man. Deboer needs to leave his nice guy shtick at home Saturday night and kick the shite out of us so we can get rid of this little whiny lead blowing a-hole.

As a State fan, you get it.
SC has been patient with him. He hasn't grown up, he hasn't grown into the job, and his teams are mentally soft.
One of the worst things that could happen for SC football is to beat Bama on Saturday. It's time to snuff this guy out with a pillow, and move on. He's an excellent recruiting coordinator. But he is incapable of leading a program.

I definitely get the frustration from SC on this. Two years ago it seemed like they had a star in the making at QB and Sellers has not improved whatsoever as he’s gotten further in his career.

Sellers was largely ruined by a terrible OC in Shula and an awful OL. But maybe more than that, he isn't the same player he was in 2024 after being well compensated. Can't teach fire, and while he's always been a low key guy, he's not shown that Luke Kuechly gear where he becomes an animal on the field since the '24 Clemson game.
I'm not one to say he should lose his starting job. But it was clear on Saturday that he needed to sit a series or two to get his mind right. If Woods outplayed him, on that specific day, so be it. Get the W and get off the field. But Beamer is far too loyal for that. He's been loyal to poor coaches, but he's also been loyal to low-performing players. There's no doubt in my mind that Spurrier would have sat Sellers for a bit. He clearly needed it.

Something happened between the 2024 Clemson game and the bowl game. We just don’t know what. But what we saw was a hesitant running Sellars who made terrible decisions in the bowl game and who single handily ran all over a much better Clemson defense. Some say IL had a gameplan and figured him out, I don’t know, could be but I doubt it. What I think is going on is he’s protecting himself because watch the way he runs, he heads straight for the sideline or just falls down like he did against MSU last week. Plus he’s always missing wide open guys or throwing into coverage.
