I have no idea who was clamoring for what, I just believe Missouri is a better fit for the Big 10. Nothing against you guys as a program, just geographically and historically you seem like a Big 10 and not an SEC school.

That round of realignment crippled a conference that had been very competitive. A lot of people don’t understand: consolidation eliminates competition.
Once key big12 pieces broke away and Texas/OU threatened to go west, Delaney realized that conference would be a competitor. He was a big part of telling everyone to tap the breaks. And Texas/OU stayed put.
Took a decade and he’s gone, but now so is the Pac12. Any more USC titles are Big10 titles.
