Fans threw trash on the field at Lindsey Nelson Stadium on Friday after Tennessee Vols baseball center fielder Drew Gilbert and pitching coach Frank Anderson were ejected in the bottom of the fifth inning vs. Notre Dame.
Among the items on the field was a mustard bottle.
The mustard bottle along with a golf ball were infamous items that littered the field when fans threw trash on the field at Neyland Stadium during a Tennessee vs. Ole Miss football game in 2021.
Notre Dame led Tennessee 8-2 in the fifth inning of the NCAA Tournament Knoxville Super Regional Game 1 when Gilbert was ejected with one out in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Frank Anderson's reaction cracked me up the most. Vitello done rubbed off on everyone and now even a straight edge Mayo-Boomer went crazy and got tossed.

Yep.. there’s definitely been an uptick in youth baseball umps being assaulted in the state of Tennessee cause of this coach and team
