There is a dance team, but they only do basketball which has a band with a little different repertoire than the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band. The dance team would look kind funny rocking out to "Patton," "Strategic Air Command," or "When Johnny Comes Marching Home."
As to "cheerleaders," a bunch of failed gymnasts preening for the camera just doesn't seem necessary. I'd rather have them up in the stands with me.
