2? 3?

Not a troll, but your question made me wonder how long Orgeron has? You have had 2-3 top 5 recruiting years, so the talent should be there.

But he's not getting $7.5 million a year.

I'm just wondering what the expectations are for that salary

Are you saying you are willing to accept less from Orgeron since he is making less money? Does that mean you have no expectations of winning the SEC?

I think that Orgeron (9-3) came closer to winning SEC this year than ATM U did? Also, better record than Fisher at FSU (5-6). That said, it does take more than just a coach (one team one heart beat)!

True, but A&M has a brand new coach. And the poster said that Fisher should have much higher expectations because of his salary. From that statement, it sounds like LSU fans are ok with lower expectations from Orgeron since he is making a lot less money.

I think fans don't understand the concept of coaches salaries. Salaries do not guarantee results. They only get you a coach that has a better chance at getting those results. Kirby is one of the lower paid head coaches in the SEC. (I'm sure he will get a nice raise, though, now that he has won the SEC)

Well, when the ATM U guaranteed salary of $7.5 million for ten years, you might "expect" a certain high result, but the accountability and performance required to meet such expectation is not assured. In coaching ten years is a long time!! At LSU we understand it takes more than just a Head Coach, and we have invested in Coordinators as well. But nobody was given a ten year guaranteed contract.

And yes, the Tiger Nation does expect future championships as well.

They did what Faggie hasn’t been able to do in 7 tries. Joke is on you.

LSU has embarrassed your pussy program over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. This will never change. Easy opponent.

Using that logic then, LSU fans should have no expectations from Orgeron, though.
You hope for a title paying that money, and you think it will put you in a better position, but if you as a fan of another team, thinks paying a huge contract means they should EXPECT a title, then what does that say about your program NOT paying that kind of money?

A&M paid Fisher that money based on him winning it several years ago. That insinuates that he knows what it takes to get there. But it gives no guarantee or expectations. To say otherwise means your school has no expectation to win anything.
