Checked a few Bama message boards and topic of Sayin starting for OSU is being talked about. The overwhelming consensus is "hope Ohio State wins."
Now that multiple teams get in the playoff, I guess the days of "SEC! SEC!" are kinda over?
YOU want Bama to stop playing Auburn. I guess the day of traditional rivalry is over too.

I see, you meant our defensive minded head coach not our actual defensive coach or coordinator. Too bad we don't have a genius offensive minded head coach like Texas or we might get genius play calls like this one. If I were from sub Sahara Texas and was a fan of the flagship school I'd say the coach that called that was dumb or drunk or both.

I've got nothing against Sayin but would prefer that Texas win because Ohio State's path to the playoff is so much easier than most SEC top teams.

OSU is going no matter what. They'll win the Big 10 and even if they finish 2nd they're still going.

I think that both Texas and an Ohio State will be in the playoffs, regardless of who wins this matchup. I just don't OSU going undefeated through an easy schedule.

Ummm….no. Clemson and Texas have head coaches with ties to Bama, and we’ll need at least Texas to win to make sure we have a decent narrative of SEC being strong.
We don’t always root for teams wearing orange but when we do, it’s typically the team with “The Real Death Valley” or “The Other UT” (and FL…they play a lot of people we like to see lose)

Still can't believe it's almost time for Georgia vs Marshall. Heart, be still.

No. We are pulling for Clemson.

My feeling is rationally if Texas wins it does help the perception of the conference. All the big time non conference games can affect perception.
But emotionally Texas does have a lot of arrogant fans, including me. I think most normal people would like to see some comeuppance.
I will say the Ohio State fans are just as arrogant as we are, so it's probably best to root for a meteor strike or something. I think either fan base is capable of being completely insufferable.

Of course they are, they know Texas will be as dominant program as them soon but with more explosive offenses
