Ricky-not-Rick, you actually seem pretty level headed in other forums...(posting here since I don't have privileges there)

Here you are in tRant discussing the LSU buyout...

quote:

so tired of this take. LSU does not have unlimited funds. Nothing like UGA, Bama or aTm. It affects the program, spending that kind of money. You can only milk that cow so many times. Just because it wasn't my arm doesn't mean Myles Brennan's injury didn't hurt the team.

Of course, you are chastised.

Most of us believe this is spot-on. It is never good to pay coaches not to coach and certainly not (as AU has done) pay many. I'll bet it affects more than what many see, perhaps even down to the price of tickets for the faithful.

Between the coordinators currently, the buyout last year and coach O's upcoming windfall, that adds up to a lot of green before you can talk to another coach about coming in.

I doubt any of us know where all of the money comes from, though boosters are a part. Perhaps Louisiana and LSU donors are benefiting from high oil prices.

But for some to talk so cavalierly about dumping coaches, it isn't wise.

I know you don't need it from a gump but good luck fighting the fight.

The 20’s will see the burnout of Saban and Bama and the rise of the LSU machine
