The Federal Court shouldn’t and likely won’t rule on the SEC’s case for 2 reasons.

1. It very clearly is an attempt to get an injunction to counter a State Court injunction which Federal courts aren’t supposed to do.

2. Its claim against LSU is clearly a contractual one and not a first amendment issue. The first amendment allows them to make a contract. What they’re allowed to do under that contract is not a first amendment issue.

The SEC and their lawyers
likely know this, but this is a good way to put it out there that they will take the nuclear
option of LSU plays these players.

LSU left the door open last week, but I think we close it given the SEC doesn’t need fault to expel us from the conference.

We should probably look at that provision when this cools
off though. idk if anyone likes the idea of removal being down to a no fault popularity contest.

The first amendment doesn’t but the SEc Consitution does.

They just need the votes.

But that’s means it’s not a federal issue.
