Higgins

06 Recivers were

Harvin, Baker, Cornelus, Caldwell

Tookes and Boateng not worth noting.

Although Ingram was a WR playing TE.

Don't forget about guys like David Nelson, Jarred Fayson, Riley Cooper, Louis Murphy, Brandon James, etc who were on that team.

I can guarantee you that receiving corps won't be from Alabama. I think Alabama's personal best was in 2005 with Tyrone Prothro, DJ Hall, Matt Caddell, and Keith Brown.

It's amazing how good some of those guys looked when Harvin was there. Once he and perhaps to some degree Muphy left major drop off. Always thought Thompson was going to be a true go to guy

It has to be one of the Florida receiving corps. You can make a case for 1996, 2001, or 2008 as the best receiving corps.

1996 Florida

Reidel Anthony
Ike Hilliard
Jacquez Green

Also had a young Travis McGriff.

2001 Florida

Jabar Gaffney
Reche Caldwell
Taylor Jacobs

2008 Florida

Louis Murphy
Percy Harvin
Riley Cooper
Deonte Thompson
David Nelson

Also had Aaron Hernandez at TE.

1995 > 1996

2006 > 2008

And 2008 technically had CI on its roster as well....

Not that I wanna give them anything positive to dwell on in the midst of their downward spiral, but Arky's corp last year was pretty solid.

We seemed to do ok with Hernandez taking his spot.

Probably not an all time best though. Our receivers were legitimately 5 or so deep with nfl players. I think people will be blown away by how many of these receivers eventually get drafted that were brought in by petrino. 2 for sure maybe 3 if someone takes a flyer on childs in the late rounds which is a pretty solid idea if you need a receiver in my opinion.

Hamilton will end up drafted pretty high. Wade will get drafted about where adams gets drafted if our offense doesn't fall apart under a new coach. Then you have guys like minor, herndon and a slew of other names that have that size and speed combo but haven't gotten a chance to start because of the talent in front of them. They won't get drafted but will probably end up free agents and play some pro ball.

I can't beleive not one of them has mentioned it yet. They must be emotionally wrecked over the new hire.

When Childs was healthy I'd agree with you, otherwise that group doesn't even belong in the conversation with Florida's bests.

Not sure what you're laughing at.

Mike Wallace, Shay Hodge and Dex Mccluster were bad arse but had the human pick throwing to them. Just imagine if Eli was throwing to them.

Eli might as well have been throwing to them with our defense those couple of years.
