????????

Stolen laptop, cheating scandal, sulks after losses, cheats on the mother of his four children and knocks up another woman...yeah, the world could use a lot more of this.
I don't hate the guy because that's a waste of time, but I don't get how some people think he's of some high moral character.

How long before he has 3 completions that go 20+ yards in the air ? It took Jones 9 games.

Panthers are desperate. Cam was still injured when he signed with the Pats. After having some time to recover he's probably the healthiest he's been in a while, and when he's healthy he's still a lot better than tRant likes to make him out to be.

Except for the very last part, pretty much this.

It's a low-risk move for the Panthers. They're already sitting at last in the division and Darnold just got lost for at least a month if not the rest of the season.

IF (note the IF) Bowl is right and Cam can return to anything near what he was at the start of his career they got a steal.

Worst case, he's not and never will be again. If that happens, he gets to retire a Panther and get the recognition he earned as their best QB ever. If it wasn't for fashion sense that defines all logic and, of course, the Camback, he's a pretty likeable guy. Came back to get his degree from AU, lots of good charity work, and a total professional with the Mac Jones competition.

Good luck to him.

I am still shocked by the number of people that hate him. If you really take a moment to look into his life, you will see that he is a great human who loves to help those around him. Our world could use a lot more Cam Newtons.

Helps them out of their laptops.

I think the Panthers brought him back to quickly after the shoulder work.

I'm not even saying that. Cam at his peak was NFL MVP. I'm just saying he's not 100% busted like a lot of ranters want to believe. He still has value in the NFL, look at how good the pats run game was last year with his added threat vs how mediocre it is this year with Mac. He'll also have way better pass catchers to throw to with the Panthers than he did with the Pats and a healthier shoulder, so don't be surprised if he's a serviceable passer too.

Cam put up 56 on this Gamecock defense in 2010. Can't stand the guy, but he's the best college football player I've ever seen in my lifetime.

I still have my 2010 SECCG t-shirt with that 56-17 score on the back

And technically, Cam scored 91 on that gamecock defense in 2010

BS, there are 6 teams in the NFC with a winning record and the Panthers are 1/2 game from a playoff slot. That was with Darnold as their QB. The Panthers did not want to sign Cam because they know it would be admitting to a mistake by the current staff for not keeping him two years ago. They signed him because they know they have a chance to make the playoffs.
