Again, I readily admitted I hammed it up some tonight, and stated why. I don't expect you to take the time to read my post history, but what you would find is that I'm not the trolling type individual that all fanbases have on here.

And since you brought up my nifty little quote about SELA and kentucky, that was a response to you yes. Because like I stated earlier, just seems to me you go out of your way sometimes to smack on Mizzou (join the crown maybe?). So yeah, I was messing with ya, nothing more than getting in an innocent jab. It might not matter to you, but I am a gentleman, and with saying that, I do apologize for that wise crack.

I won't even guess which of those two categories I fall into, but I will tell you what I took away from the SELA game...we're in trouble if a game comes down to who has the best kicker. It was great to see the team come out ready to play, even if against an inferior team, but those kicking issues reared it's ugly little head again tonight.

They are bat shite crazy over being in the finest CFB conference in the country. It's what the economists would call irrational exuberance.

An irrationally exuberant high is always followed by an arse kicking of who ever is in the way. In this case UGA. Seriously, I read that on wikipedia, so it must be true.

I mean, I've made it pretty clear that I don't exactly buy into the success you all have had because of the defenses you've faced. I'm sure that comes off negative but being at the place we are in this conference, I can see some parallels that suggests you may need to temper your expectations. A good example of that is FCS teams that we've ran up the score on to the tune of 50-60 to 14 or less only to finish the season 6-6, 6-7 at best. I guess that's considered smacking on Mizzou but you'd be hard pressed to find anything I've said that's been an out and out flame and not at least backed up with some rationale. And I'm not going to be disingenuous just because it comes off as negative.

And I promise you as hard as you think I am on Mizzou in my criticism, I'm probably just as hard on UK under Joker.

Honestly, I couldn't wait for week 1, and now week 2 needs to be here tomorrow. Gonna be a long week. I'm glad Big Shel gave us something to talk about.

Be glad your week 1 is over with. I still have to wait about 12 hours for mine because some dipshit Big East team won't play us on a Saturday or at the end of the season when most cross-state rival games are played in the SEC.

dedfella, I agree with you. I come from the old school where you hate to see bulletin board material from one of your players, or hot dogging it, excessive celebration after a routine play etc..

Think Marcus Allen as my prototypical football player on how to act and react as a player.

Sheldon is a hell of a talent, but also comes with a big mouth. I can tell you Mizzou Nation respects the SEC and Georgia. We as fans fought tooth and nail to get here. But that doesn't equate to us as fans or our players that we will crawl into the fetal position just because Georgia is coming to town. We respect them but do not fear them.

We welcome the challenge, not only against Georgia, but being in the mighty SEC. We are proud to be here. All we are saying is we won't be a push over like alot here thinks, and what alot of our players have heard since joining.

I just wish Sheldon would of kept his mouth shut.

Big game for you guys. I'll be rooting for you. I used to watch SEC games with little to no interest. The only Big 12 games on out here were OU/UT games. Those days are over. This weekend has been like watching my own personal league. CFB became big-time this weekend.

Thanks. We'll need it. We're pretty young across the board, Smith is in his first full season of starting at QB (luckily you missed the Morgan Newton Show), but we're at least the healthiest we've been across the board going into this game. I worry about our secondary because it's very thin and if Teddy Bridgewater gets hot we could be in trouble. I do like where we stand on the ground though, RB is our strongest spot right now, and the team that's won the ground game has won the game most of the time in the modern era.

And that ESPN contract has been great for the non-traditional teams in conference. Before it, it wasn't uncommon to have to get some of the OOC matchups on PPV. It's great during basketball too.

Quoted during the Oregon game tonight..."Don't light a match anywhere near Columbia, Missouri this week. It's gonna be ready to blow."

These guys have been talking up the SEC all night, wondering how Ducks or USC can even compete with the SEC. Quite simply, its the best night of my college football loving life, and I'm wasting it with a bunch of RANTards because I don't live in MO any more.
