re: SEC will fall behind the Big Ten with only 85 football scholarships allowed. Why do that?

The SEC already trails the B1G in money, TV deals, and rankings. Might as well follow in scholarships.

That is a short term phase caused by expansion and will fade similar to Colorado.

Yeah I noticed a few years ago when Rutgers vs. Northwestern pulled gangbuster rankings.

When CFB inevitably goes to a full pro league with 53 man rosters, I hope they still have a practice squad for walk ons and give them scholarships. They can still do school in the offseason.

wtf is the point of having 100 scholarships in the transfer portal era.
It’s all about what is your budget for your top 44 players.
