the "true" deep south states are Braves - Georgia, Bama, Mississippi, tennessee, Carolina. The rest are a mix of teams

I would think LSU would be the Astros due to proximity.
South La has a ton of Astros fans
Shreveport area is more Rangers

North Louisiana yeah. South Louisiana not really.

I can't agree with this. Our guys tend to go all over the place; Indians, Rockies, Marlins and Cardinals in my recent memory.

why are there so many cubs fans in LA?
Posted on 4/4/11 at 6:07 pm to tylerdurden24
The Braves have the most fans that don't attend games.

prob cause we had WGN showing all their games for years and years.

This season, I'm pulling for the Mariners.
To win 50 games.

Still hanging on from the Cubs former LSU double play duo of Teriot and Fontenot.

ok, that makes sense. That's also why I was such a big Braves fan as a kid, TBS showed every game. Pretty sure WGN still shows the Cubs games here in Florida on a regular basis as well.

That's how it was for me.
Sammy Sosa and the late 90's cubs got me hooked b/c I watched a lot of their games on WGN and have kept up with them ever since.
Little Rock's minor league team, the Travelers, was the farm team for St. Louis for a long time. I just don't see how anyone could say any part of AR is more Braves than St. Louis dominated.

Most of Kentucky is Reds country. Far western Kentucky there are Cardinal fans. Lexington and Louisville are all about the Reds.

Ole Miss fans aren't that much into the Braves. I'd honestly say we are more into the Cardinals.

That looks like a cool park, I need to go to a game there. I did a road trip and went to over a dozen minor league games around the south between Austin and Nashville. The travelers were on a road stand but I stopped by and picked up a hat. It looked like a legit place.

Good map, and I kige the map.

nah, no way is Florida accurate. Too much diversity, and no way do the Marlins dominate 90% of the state like that.

Lexington is Reds. At least for those from Lexington. I'm from Louisville and it's mostly Braves, Cards, and then a mix of other teams.

per that map, last I checked South Georgia and parts of northern Florida was still Braves country

Yea, there are probably some parts I disagree with, but it's a pretty good overview.
