Funny they kept saying the replay had to be initiated by the crew and the 3rd base coach asked for it. Would they have really reviewed that on their own?

not really any different than a football game where it's inside two minutes and the player/coach pleads for a review.

But those reviews come from the booth, not the officials on the field.

The teams can not "order" a review. The third base coach might of asked for the review but if the umps didn't see a need to review they don't have to.
