Has Duplantis sacrificed like 40 points off his batting average to hit a few homers? That makes me sad. Everyone in baseball is trying to hit homers, and they’re shooting 40 threes a game in the NBA. Both sports are just begging for a reminder of why fundamentals matter.

Wow, I stand corrected. Had to look up his stats. I guess I just assumed he was a career 350 or 360 kinda guy. Sure as heck seems like it. He’s a great hitter.

Just posted this on our board but assuming we lose this game and finish with 28 wins this will be our first sub-30 win season since 1996 and only our 2nd since 1973. (We won at least 40 every year from 1998-2014)
