Why are you on an offseason thread kick?

The football lesbian sure seems to know what he is doing. Also he doesn’t need an embarrassing fiasco involving the state government and an NIL budget double what UGA uses to get there.

Turns out coaching matters and picking players who fit your culture is important. Not just throwing money at any retard who might or might not even fit in your locker room after he washed out from the NFL, seems to work when combined with one of if not the top scouting staff in America

There’s a laundry list of overlooked 3 stars Kirby has brought in since 2017 who have been some of our top players in one national championship run and loss and multiple wins. Ladd obviously is the poster boy here becoming a first rounder but there are many many more

Pretty much everyone agrees he's a good coach which is why these kinds of posts seem to highlight an emerging insecurity, as though the last 3 years are starting to make you itch a bit and you're worried he'll just end up with two.

It’s harder than ever to win a NC. It’s extremely possible he ends his career with two.

Do I think he will. No.

Do I think he or anyone will ever sniff Saban? Again no.

Dabo won two titles as well. Started petering out around age 50.

Probably nothing, though.

Did you miss this part?

Also UGA while working in the second tier bracket of NIL is a world above where Clemson is working at.

Kirby has actually adapted to the game; Dabo hasn’t

Again I refer you to my first sentence though

Just noting that if you asked 100 SEC fans if Kirby Smart was a good coach, you'd get at least 99 "yes" answers.

I didn't say he had to be Saban level to be good. I don't think anyone brought up Saban before you.

My only reference to Saban was to make a point NO ONE will ever reach him or likely get that close.

Not Kirby
Not Ryan Day
Not Steve “Kirby’s on the other sideline someone get me a Jack and Cola” sark.

Expecting that to happen makes one a fool

But again, who said that was an expectation?

Not me? Unless you somehow got i implied that was Kirbs bar for success in which case accept my apologies

Only the most deranged of UGA fans would think that

No I'm saying nobody said that and you came in trying to refute it.

Even without NIL or the changes in CFB I don't think anyone would set that as a reasonable expectation.

But if Smart ends up with a 20 year career at UGA and only takes home 2, that would absolutely be a disappointment.

Disappointment? I disagree too harsh a word.

He’s already won 3(I think I’m pretty drunk) SEC championships. Won a rose bowl, went to a natty and lost to the GOAT in OT, and then made two more playoffs runs with Natty wins.

If he never wins another national championship, at most on the negative side you could say is underwhelming after how fast he started out of the gate.

It’s also relative. What if until he retires he doesn’t win one but neither does Ryan day or Cig to catch him or anyone else for that matter. Again at best some fans may slightly underwhelming as we have won more games than anyone for the past 5 years and showing 0 signs of slowing down.

It’s a pretty safe bet we are going to be in the playoff nearly every year.

Do I think he needs to get one more in this expanded era to absolutely cement himself as one of the best to ever do it? Yes
