1. Real beaches (Florida, SC, Bama)

2. Secure freedoms and state pride (Texas)

3. Outdoors (Tennessee and Arkansas)

I probably wouldn’t move to any of them except South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Florida.

East Nashville isn't ghetto anymore. It was back in the 80s and 90s, but it's been gentrified by yuppies & hipsters. There are still some projects there but it's safer than it was back in the day. It's really the only part of the city that can be compared to SF- although it would be a very mild comparison. The rest of Nashville is drawing in just as many moderates and conservatives, and the suburbs, of course, are experiencing a huge influx of conservatives from states like CA and IL. Nashville definitely is not becoming a little SF by any strecth.

Antioch (SE) and Bordeaux (N) are the less desirable parts of the city. Antioch especially has gotten bad since the '10s.

Like I care what you think of me- you're just mad that I shot down your analysis of Nashville because you admit you don't know anything about the city at all. It sounds like you haven't been there since 1988.

If East Nasty is that dangerous, then how come it's full of LGBT and weak-armed soy dudes?

Same reason homes near Rhodes College in Memphis keep putting up fences and security gates

What other stupid questions to you have? You're the one who admitted there's still projects, but you attempted to minimize their level of existence, because you're wrong on a message board

I loved Georgia for the hunting and fishing but the crime and shite schools had me going back to east TN.

South Carolina is just a poorer version Of Georgia

Kentucky is a hard no. Too cold and it floods every other year

Alabama is just a stupider version of Georgia

Florida would check most of the boxes, great fishing no state taxes, but it’s too hot and hurricanes.

Louisiana is just a poor man’s Florida

Missouri and Arkansas would be considered but no.

Mississippi? It’s fine to visit but live there on purpose? No

Oklahoma is a hard no. I like the standard 4 seasons and scenery

Texas has the no tax thing and enough variety to find something that would work.

West Tn is a really hard no for me. So I guess I would just stay were I chose a few years ago in East TN

Maybe with all the expansion going around we can get a school in Belize or Thailand.

i would move from central MS to central and northern Alabama, Middle and east TN, Ozark Arkansas, Ozark Missouri, probably some decent places in TX, Northern GA, Panhandle FL, most places in SC, southern and Eastern KY...thats about it. mostly, i would avoid Louisiana, but there are great people there.

There's public housing in all large cities. Most urban neighborhoods are going to have it. That I know of, the projects left in East Nashville are the Cayce Homes. I'm not exactly sure what you're seeing there in recent years that is presumably so dangerous. My wife and I walked and biked all around East Nashville and Shelby Bottoms Park last summer. It's mostly nice homes and then the usual hipster eateries & coffee shops. The area up toward Ingelwood and Madison isn't as nice. The parts I prefer to avoid are SE Nashville and Metrocenter/North Nashville near TSU. But for real- if you're scared of East Nashville, you're probably also scared of most cities.

Your attempts at personal insults are pretty lame. You're making it obvious you are angered because I disagreed with your assessment of the place. It is way more conservative than San Francisco and will never become anything of the sort. Nashville (and particularly its suburbs) is a huge magnet for conservatives who are relocating from blue states.

if you weren't such a liar, you'd feel obligated to admit that "Little San Francisco" is actual Middle Tennessee verbiage about the area you "describe"

Nice deflection; and no, I've never heard this before, and I'm from the Mid-State. Maybe you've seen that from anons on the 'net, as it appears message boards are how you spend most of your life.

This will continue go in circles (which is exactly what you desire), so better luck with your next huckleberry.
