We've never had a dedicated recruiting room so it's pretty exciting.

I can't imagine that anyone has a better one.

Just to clarify, losing 2 games in the last 6 seasons at home to 2 top 5 teams destroys the myth of that team's stadium. Correct?

UA is 25-9-2 in Death Valley.

bigger isn't better. The next wave of stadium improvements will be downsizing with all chair back seats. Ideally capacity is probably 70-80,000

Some schools have way too much demand for that.

Truth.

But I don't think Arkansas should go much higher than 80K seats. We have too many "cycles" of up and down to consistently fill more than that on a consistent basis, IMO. But with population growth and a rebounding economy, I suppose it's possible.

I just don't want us to ever cram people on top of each other like at Tennessee. It'd be cool as hell to somehow cram 80K people, all with chairback seats, into our stadium. I'd take that over 100K in bleachers any day. Dreaming, but still..

It's tiny, and no comparison, but when FAU built their stadium they put in all chairbacks. It's only 30k, but that's Boca Raton, a different kind of football experience.

Very smart move by FAU. The race to 100,000+ is pretty much over. Only a handful of schools can maintain that. Going forward it will be all about luxury.

What? You got butthurt and ruined the thread. Congrats.

How am I butthurt? We won the last time we went to Death Valley, so......

Same shite different thread. Bama fans come in and wreck shite.

I only checked in because your fellow coonass mentioned that your fans only get excited, and Death Valley gets loud whenever we come to town. It's not my fault your fanbase has Bama on the brain.

That's pretty much what we're doing. Reducing capacity and focusing on amenities and the fan experience.

With the convenience of smart tv's and cheap drinks at home it's just not feasible to keep building larger and larger stadiums.

This is what I would prefer as well.

Why don't you go back to the Alabama board and toot your horn if you can't stay on topic of the thread. TIA

See what I did there?

For most schools, it's going to be about the in-game experience over capacity, definitely.

Declining attendance shows that even the biggest programs are going to have to do a lot of work in improving the game day experience.

That is Auburn's MO.

We replaced all the tube tvs with flat screens and widened the concourses, changed food vendors, and upgraded the wifi network inside the stadium.

Agreed. That's why I'd love to bring the Mizzou loge seating concept to Tiger Stadium...it's awesome...

Maybe I'm missing the big picture but why is UK's recruiting deck so cool?

Yeah, not sure AU will ever expand again. Just no need for it when it would only be for a few games a year.
