I think Kentucky is ahead of the curve this time around. I wish they'd go ahead and make our entire upper decks chairbacks.
This really is the right move, expansion should be about comfort, not more seats. Less and less fans will be attending games....

If you think that's bad...

Well, to be fair, it once had a bigger capacity before they cut it down to make it a more fan friendly environment.

In June 2005, the university Board of Trustees authorized plans for the stadium's demolition and reconstruction that would remove the track, reduce the stadium capacity, and bring it up to date with present standards for sporting venues. Various justifications for the renovation included poor sightlines in the existing stadium (rendering the bottom 14 rows unusable), long stairways, and lack of adequate restroom facilities. The track around the stadium had previously created a large distance between the field and the spectators.

Definitely one of the better renovations in football.

Smaller football schools have been doing a better job of this than the big schools.

The open air stadiums are become less and less open air. Some Stadiums have gotten to the point were they are like Domes without the Roof, almost claustrophobic.

I'd spend more time in the stadium if I had a chairback and plenty of leg room.
I downgraded my seats a few years back and didn't use them twice because I was used to more comfort.
Our li'l expansion project is going to be all chairbacks and several suites. The 76k that we have now includes about 4000 temporaries that we have stuck in the SEZ for the past 7 or 8 seasons. Those should go away and we should be somewhere around 78k. I'd be fine going down to 70k if it meant all the upper deck became chairbacks. Preferably fat-people-oriented chairbacks with generous arse-room and cup holders.

No, wmr, you can't bring your damn lazyboy into the stadium.

The new Mizzou loge seating...armchairs with mini fridges next to them. In an open club-like space separate from the true club. And you can move your seats around, too. And get food delivered.

Looks nice. Not $500 million nice, but nice in a quaint way.

You realize that Mizzou are the only ones with that concept so far? So $500 million didn't buy you that.

The tackle box is in such bad shape that they have to spend half a billion dollars to get anything nice. That thing needs to be gutted.

Pretty sure they put 2 such chairs in Rupp for Rupp and his wife when he retired. They took them out after he passed.

Truth. Seems like a lot of Aggies conveniently forget that.
