*This is what official fire code compliance capacity is. However, for big games (like OU 2010, or Georgia 2012) it pushes 80,000 unofficially.

I hope they never close in the bridge side. It would be nice to have the added sound but you have 100k it does not matter. I have wondered how long it would be before they extend the 600's section.

Basically like us saying... Davis Wade is going to 80,000 plus. This will happen within the next 4 years.

from what i heard, it is more likely to be around 93k-95k

Bama is largest at over 101K. Technically, Tennessee is the next largest, but having been in that stadium may times I am convinced it is supposed to seat about 85K, but they make the seats smaller so they can claim more.

I think he may have been confused about the VHS expansion being phase 2 of the campaign. Not 2 years away.

Those renderings favors BDS a lot, at least to me.

Agreed...
These renderings are also still based on the "rough" design of our expansion. A good bit changed in the final design of our phase 1 that aren't reflected in those pictures.
The good thing is all footings/foundations will be laid for the future endzone upper deck during this expansion, as well as all the design work. Will simply be a matter of adding a 2nd "story" of suites and pouring concrete when we need to expand again, and should be something we can almost complete in 1 offseason.
Also doing a bunch of work in the north endzone getting ready to run a narrow bowl all the way around the stadium, which will be our future student seating. After this phase 1 expansion is done, we will have the ability to make it grow quickly next time... which is one reason for keeping the initial numbers low

Arkansas is around 75,000 but the record is technically 76,808.
However, when the new football operations building is done we are scheduled to begin work on this addition that will bring capacity to around 83,000.
Right now that space currently looks like this:

Max at the Swamp is a little over 90,000. The west concourse was just refurbished and much nicer looking...the east side will be next. With the economy in Florida I doubt we see much expansion....more remodeling and touchups for now, but the state is still growing in population. Commuter type schools like USF & UCF have huge student populations and have kept UF at a reasonable level.

I thought that would be good too. Extend the 600's all the way around to the sky suites, that would put the stadium with at least 96,000 to 97,000.

I agree. That's another reason why I don't want to close in the Bridge Side of Sanford.

Bama is not the largest you guys have 101,821 we have 102,455 get your facts right. This is according to the Tennessee athletics and Bama athletics website.

Alabama has outdrawn Tennessee the last three years.

There were more Bama fans than UT fans in Neyland the last three times we've played.
Again our stadium is bigger because you guys squeezed out seats where they never should have been.
BTW without our two club levels the estimated capacity would be 115k. So not only can you be comfortable in our stadium its nicer and not an empty Erector set.
