1. Emmitt Smith Florida
17, Fred Taylor Florida
25.Jamal Lewis Tenn
36.Shaun Alexander Alabama
40.Jim Taylor LSU
43.Herschel Walker Georgia

That's it.

Bummer what happened to Bo, he'd be there. And here comes Derrick Henry. Number 50 is Freeman McNeil with 8,074. Derrick will pass that soon, he has over 6000 yards soon to be over 7000.

What school do ya think has the most listed? Any conference close to the SEC with that six?

I'd go with the Hurricanes for most by school in top 50

"Jaguar" Jon Arnett
Frank Gifford HOF
Mike Garrett
O.j.Simpson HOF
Charles White
Marcus Allen hHOF
Anthony Davis
Ricky Bell
Reggie Bush

Lots of great RB's there, five Heisman winners, no school compares to that.

But...only Allen at 14 and Simpson at 21 are on the list.

Henry will have a couple more good seasons, then flame out in his 30’s like all RB’s do.

Jamal Lewis is the only one on the list with a 2000 yard season. He had 2066 yards in 2003.

Another 2000 yard SEC guy is UGA's Terrell Davis. He had 2008 yards in 1998.

Ottis Anderson was my Tecmo Super Bowl secret weapon. His tackle breaking was almost up there with Okoye and was way faster and more agile.

I'm surprised to see just over 4,000 yards puts someone in the top 200 in league history.

Yep, the notion that RBs shelf life is generally a couple years is pretty true

Yep, dude has this cool spin move, and was the Vikes first 1000 yard rusher.

The average career length for an NFL running back is 2.57 years. There are a lot of them.

I've seen stats like that, but it is pretty misleading. If you average the career length of guys who are drafted or who make the team, it is longer. Kind of works the same as life expectancy, if you survive the first year or so, your average life expectancy is higher than the total population.
