I'm a Pre-Analytical Tech (Phlebotomist) at the medical center here in Valdosta. Love my job. Though I can have some fricked up patients at times.

Got a BS from Auburn then went back to Auburn for veterinary school. I'm currently on the path to (hopefully) getting a residency and specializing. I only do small animal stuff - I want to own some cows/goats one day but I will never work on them for a living.

I've always found these operations very interesting. I had to read a handful of articles in school on different diseases that are commonly encountered in large scale catfish operations. I'd really like to visit one for a few days.

the vet school at MSU visits the one my dad runs all the time in the summer.. they come out and look at the hatchery, how the fish are harvested, the ponds and equipment.
It's really an interesting operation. Involves a shite ton of work and the overhead costs are very high to maintain the farm, but with proper management, stocking rates, diseases and oxygen management ,and maintaining financing you can make millions. You can also lose your arse quick... nobody should attempt to get in the business without years of experience first. I love it, everyday you have to deal with something new so you never get bored with the same old thing.
