disappointed is not a word i would use. i would rather they kept it grass but they had to resod 2-3 times a year. so the grass areas were full of patchwork which also didnt look good.

Seems as though they need to get better field maintenance people. That's not even an area of the field that has a ton of game play traffic.

maybe not gameplay but it gets tracked on more than any part of a baseball field if you count practices, running out of the dugout, etc. plus like i said the overhang keeps it from getting sun.

Why didn't they consider sun angles, etc when they built?

Yea, it gets traffic, but still, it's disappointing.

I've always hated Texas because of fake grass on their entire field. While y'all's isn't entirely turf, it's just odd to me. I dunno

Just seems like for as much money as your program spent, they really cut some corners.

I still don't understand new stadiums not having chair backs all throughout the stadium.

I guess different strokes for different folks.

you call it cutting corners, i call it allocating money in different areas. does the box have chairbacks throughout? no. but they destroy any stadium in the conference in the home plate area.

and they most certainly considered sun angles. any new stadium has studies like that done. so they didnt cut any corners in that aspect, so i dont think you have a point there.

The two programs in the conference that are better than you are both doing it. One of them is tops in turf management. Maybe you should stop acting like you know more than them and give it a chance.

Definitely agree with this. I understand Indiana where it is hard to grow grass before April but Texas looks shameful. I am a bit disappointed as well with the turf sides a the box but am very confident our grounds crew will have the grass the same color

They need to spend some money on an overhang for the grandstand its a shame yall don't have better facilities for your baseball program and their fans.
