3. LSU: There are some questions about the experience the Tigers bring back, but no one will question the talent and athleticism in Baton Rouge. Sam Montgomery is back at defensive end, after suffering a serious knee injury. He hasn’t played much, but the coaches believe he’s got what it takes to be a top end in this league. Kendrick Adams started 11 games last year at end, while Lavar Edwards filled in for Montgomery. Ego Ferguson redshirted last year, but should get a ton of playing time in the middle this fall. He is already one of the most athletic tackles in the SEC. Don’t forget about five-star early enrollee Anthony Johnson, who made very strong impressions on his coaches this spring and will be in the rotation inside.
This is how deep and athletic LSU's D-line is this year...ranked #3 and this write up didn't even mention Barkavious Mingo.

Florida's line will be better than Arkansas. I'll predict that right now.
LSU is high, IMO. Their two projected starters at DT have never played a down, yet somehow they have the #3 line in the SEC in the preseason.
Doesn't make sense to me.

Curious why

the names Floyd, Powell, Easly and Martin for starters. 4 5 stars on DLine.

Wrong. Mike Brockers.

First, I'm not saying Arkansas won't be solid on the DL. I'm just saying Florida will be better.
Last year, Florida had their worst DE tandem in history, only combining for 4.5 sacks ALL SEASON.
This year, the personnel gets huge upgrades with Chris Martin and Lynden Trail coming in off of redshirts. William Green, Lerentee McCray, and Ronald Powell all get the benefit of playing in a style of defense that suits their strengths, and UF will be one of the toughest and most talented teams in the country up the middle with Floyd, Easley, Howard, and Hunter.

According to the article, Ego Furgeson and the Freak will be the two main guys.
So going off of that article, I just don't see how they land at #3. They mention two guys that have never played a down...

They are seriously underestimating our DL this year. I think that will be one of the strengths of our team.

I thought that was odd as well. This is what Chavis said about Mingo's future.
"Chavis said earlier this month that Mingo, before he’s done at LSU, would be “the premier pass-rusher in the SEC -- bar none.”

And they overlook a guy that was very productive as a freshman in Mingo and dismiss the fact that a guy like Michael Brockers will start at DT and played significantly last season.
We're 3 deep at both end positions and each guy has started at some point.

And I'm telling you, it's wrong. Mike Brockers is a starter who basically started alongside Nevis. Ego is a rotation guy.

Idk...I guess maybe they just aren't familiar with our guys or just assume that because we went 6-7 that we don't have good players. Couldn't tell ya.

No that is unimportant.... Your avatar is what I am referring to.

I think UGA has a better DL than their ranking as well.
Time will tell.

OK fair enough. Still, I think it's a reach with them at #3. But after trying to rank everything out myself, I never could put them lower than 4 or 5, so maybe 3 is fine.
The talent is not in question.
And how does ESPN not even mention a starter in Brockers? That doesn't even make sense. Idiots.

And if Clowney is listed as an immediate help to the South Carolina line, it makes sense to have Anthony Johnson listed as an immediate help to the LSU line. Especially considering he enrolled early and has a spring under his belt already.

Oh haha. That looks absolutely nothing like me or something that I would wear. It kinda looks like one of the BeeGees.
I didn't say anything though because you did it for fun and there is really no reason for you to go back and redo them for everyone because people want them to look different.

Or Mingo. Especially considering my post from Chavis came from a Bruce Feldman article a while ago.
