Modern, if you've never been to a national convention you should go. I went to three (2003, 2005 & 2007) and also played in the NIB each time. Good stuff. I was a brother at Epsilon at MSU.

I always heard from the Arkansas brothers that SWD was a great convention. The SED tended to get a little rowdy. I was there the year some brothers caused in total about $10k damage to the hotel.

i always been a fan of the corps at a&m. i thought it was cool.

It is what it is. My dad was in it, I was in it, and so was my wife. Not a perfect organization, but made some great friends and met some fantastic people. Also ran into some knuckleheads

my first few years going to the district convention for kkpsi, i would look for a&m's chapter and i realized that they didnt have a chapter. Since a&m is one of texas flagship univs, i would expect them to have a chapter....but i was wrong.

Yeah, Aggie Band kind of does their own thing, I guess. Surprising they don't have a chapter, but then again not really.

I hope their band comes down to baton rouge this year, i would like to see the 4 way cross in person.

I'm about 90% sure they'll be making it to BR First time back at Tiger Stadium in forever, and rekindling a rivalry--I'd sure hope the FTAB was on hand for that! Idk if they'll do a four way cross, but you stand a good chance of seeing it since the game's late in the year. My personal favorite formation of theirs

If they would put a Nat convention down in the south, i would go, but all my years in the frat theyve been too far.

I pledged in 06 at Lambda Xi at SE LA UNIV....i was in the first MC class, after the charter class crossed.

I was really lucky that I was able to drive each time (always had to go early because of the NIB). Norfolk in 2003, Lexington in 2005, and Orlando in 2007 (hot!). The 2007 NIB is when I got to play under Frank Wicke, LSU's director of bands. Liked him a lot.

Small world. I actually knew a girl who was an initiate at SELA but didn't cross. Sara A. Her sister was a brother with me at MSU.

Also the one that always surprised me is that Alabama doesn't have a chapter.

I think Alabama does have a chapter. It just started within the last year or so, to my knowledge.

Not yet but I will be when I can afford it.

Also Alabama may have a colony but I'm pretty sure they don't have a chartered chapter at this time. Stillman College does, however.

Also sad to learn that Wava has passed away. I got stuck on an elevator with her in Norfolk for about 45 minutes and almost missed ritual because of it.

I see Wava. Got to meet her and her husband in Lubbock

I found it alright to see girls wearing the kkpsi letters, i understand Title IX, but i find it extremely weird to see guys wearing TBS letters.

Not too many of them, though. Our big brother chapter from our re-chartering in 1994 (which was Beta Beta at Ole Miss) was suspended for hazing so there are more guys in TBS at Ole Miss now. We don't have a TBS chapter at MSU and it's been a good thing for us because there were years when we couldn't've kept going without the ladies serving as well.

Bama does have a colony. It just started up last year. In fact we've met with a good bit of brothers from Miss State late last year. I know a few of them quite well.
