Your asshat of a coach went from the luckiest motherfricker in the world in 2007 to the unluckiest the past couple of years. The talent has been about the same. You caught every break you could in 2007 and every break since has gone against you

Well it could be a number of things

Sure easy way would say Saban talent graduated, but that is foolish MUCH MORE THAN THAT.

Nino is correct for one.. the natural cycle is a part of it

Attrition on the Oline certainly didn't help... go look at our 06 class and you will see 1/3 didn't even stay at LSU.

Injuries... a lot of our players have sustained some injuries that forced them to transfer or sit out a year. Lots of teams get them though, so that isn't much of a reason.

Team Leadership has also been a huge missing factor. our players were young... it took time to mold them(frick you QB coach)

having to learn a new defensive system is never easy.

then you have the Achilles heel... CROWTON he has yet to prove that he can develop a QB and a potent passing game with his players.

The Saban talent graduated

You poor little gump fricks. Don't you know that in five years at LSU (even with the last two mediocre seasons) Les Miles has a better record than Nick Saban at LSU? Les Miles went three years in a row with 10+ wins, something even Saban and NO OTHER COACH IN LSU HISTORY could manage to do. So you're saying Miles did it with Saban's players? That means that Les Miles did better with Saban's players than Saban. I think Saban is a great coach, but that often heard jewel of "he did it with Saban's players" is really kind of stupid considering recruiting has been Miles's biggest strength. You can make all the game management opinions you want and they will be valid, but really take off the gump glasses.

You're right big apple tiger. You guys should give Miles a lifetime contract.

I like Les Miles. I want him to be our coach. I'm just as disappointed with the losses last year as anybody, but the man has earned the right to address the problem. If he can't turn in a 10 win+ season this year I'll wish him well say its time for a change. Yeah, Ole Miss was bad, but the impact of losing Ryan Perrilloux cannot be underestimated in how the offense has performed and their lack of preparedness. But he's had two years to smooth out the cracks and this year will be the watermark. I'm pulling for him.

Me too. I'm pulling for him. Whatever the record has to be for him to stay, I want them to win that.

Honest to God, as an Alabama fan, the only reason I has a want for Miles to go is that he locks down in state talent for the most part and maybe a new guy wouldnt...but it's not a risk i'm willing to take because they may bring in someone sane.

Gruden at LSU would be fun though. I'd like to see him explain signing 14 qbs a year

Maybe we too could experience the wonder of a new, bling filled hire. How did Kiffen work out for you?

Someone from Alabama questioning intelligence. That's what we call irony. Any other jewels of wisdom from the land of cankles and cheetos?
