I was as impressed with States defense when we played them as bama

Their front 7 are incredible, but LSU is better in the secondary. I learned Bama must improve on pass blocking before facing Clemson, assuming that will be the finals which is far from assured, of course.

LSU's secondary is incredible. Delpit was not discussed too much in preseason, but he may be the best player on that defense. He has a high football IQ. Yes, Mississippi State's defensive front 7 is stout, one of the best I've seen, but the secondary has played much better of late. Tua's first option was covered Saturday against MSU in the second half and he was looking to avoid the blitzers. He got hit many times.

Clemson and Michigan, if it comes to that, will review the tape of those blitzes used by MSU, imo.

Yea I agree, I knew State's front group was impressive but I was as impressed with their back 7.

Good news is we will be able to formulate a plan to counteract it. That was a really really good gameplan by Shoop, once we got the first 2.5 drives out of system at least .
