Not to me. Alabama's athletic department is already the 2nd most profitable in the nation.
A&M's addition helps you get closer to 1st.

Maybe, but not by much since TV revenue is split between schools. The point is that we don't need your money.

I'm not going to pretend I know how well Slive will be able to position adding the state of Texas to the TV contracts, but apparently he along with the rest of the conference leadership thought it was a great idea. It's cool you don't see it the same way. Still looking forward to playing y'all, checking out your stadium and town.

You will learn about the REC soon enough...
Google returns nothing useful. Must be a pretty good conspiracy
The CIA, KGB (Now defunct for pissing off the REC), and Mossad all tremble before the power of the REC.

I'm mainly pissed that we might be losing our rivalry with Tennessee because we have to bring in another member now that A&M is in. I can't tell you how pissed I would be if we didn't have the Third Saturday in October game every year.

thats what is sad about it. they only saw dollar signs. had they even taken a little bit of the pulse of sec fans they wouldve realized how big of a mistake it was.
but obviously our opinions dont matter. so i'll live with it. but dont ask me to be happy about it or even greet a&m fans on their way into the conference.

As for conference unity, I feel more united with the other SEC teams in our shared experience of not liking the Aggies joining.
I've never felt closer, actually.

Looks like that's what is happening. You're giving up either Tenner or Aubie. Don't see them nixing the Iron Bowl. Tenn being down the last several years probably made this decision a lot easier on them.

I guess I'll resign myself to the fact there's gonna be some pissed off SEC fans as a result of scheduling issues. I think once y'all come to a game in College Station you'll see having A&M in the SEC is not so bad.

i havent been to a game but ive been to college station and the campus. i was underwhelmed by the campus honestly.

I don't either, which is why I'm so pissed at Slive. He fricked up a great rivalry, which always sold tickets, just to gain a bigger market share in another state.

I've been to 3 games at Kyle. I know all the words to your War Hymn, and the chant at the end of SOAL.
I have experienced it. I can respect it from afar, but that doesn't mean I like having the SEC I grew up with screwed up.

Exactly and doubly so since we will be running this shite next year anyways.
no doubt. i mean you cant run an inferior conference but no doubt you will run the sec.
stop being such an obvious troll. it's just lame.

Were the old timers upset when Arkansas and South Carolina were added?

Probably, but there was a clear reason for the expansion: A CCG. I think most agree that having a divisional split and CCG is better than the old way.
Some disagree.
There wasn't a predictable annual schedule of conference opponents back then, anyway.

For what purpose? And obviously game days are a lot different than others. And summer time is dead compared to Fall/Spring, etc.
