um, if Mizzou wins out and Auburn loses to Alabama, I'd have to say Mizzou has a much better resume due to the fact Auburn hasn't beaten anyone other than A&M.

Too bad Auburn is going to lose to UGA and Alabama and this is going to be meaningless.

My vote is Pinkel. If not for a shanked FG, they should still be undefeated.

Gus inherited four Top 10 recruiting classes. Auburns success is as much a reflection of Chizik's lack of coaching ability as it is Gus's ability to coach.

But it's close, and depends on how the rest of the season plays out.

Malzahn.

The SEC is now seeing what Mizzou has been for the past 7 or 8 years. Get used to seeing Mizzou battling for first in the SEC East.

Can't deny the job Gus has done at Auburn in his first year.

Nick Saban....

Coaches take mediocre teams to success every single year.

what Saban's done at Alabama hasn't been seen since Osborne and Nebraska were kicking arse and taking names.

From an AU homer, Pinkel deserves consideration because of where they were expected to be last year. Everyone knows the story on AU. I'd say Gus gets it unless Mizzou knocks off Bama in the SEC championship game. Then it's Pinkels

To me, for SEC COY, it's a tossup between Pinkell and Malzahn. I guess it would depend on how they finish.

Drunkel has done a hell of a job this year. leave it to SoCar to shite on others' dreams while knowing full well they cannot see their own dreams come true.

Coaches by order of merit:

1. BB - '13's losses are a brilliant smokescreen for the NC he'll win next year

2. Pinkel - 8/10 so far but he's got another month and can still grab two points with a last second DWI

3. Spurrier - "You're not an SEC fan until you've had your heart broken by tOBC"...and this applies to the fans of teams he's coaching as well - made an excellent decision in choosing UT as his signature loss this campaign.

4. Richt - Solid attempted execution of the typical Georgia "great season but we dropped one" type season he does every year, just got a little out of hand.

5. Muschamp - See Richt, pretty much the same.

6-11. Interchangeable.

12. Saban - It's getting to be like watching the Globetrotters play the Generals, he doesn't even have to coach anymore, it's just autopilot.

13. Malzahn - OMG, the mind behind the '11 NC is winning with players he recruited. Yawn.

14. Sumlin - Simile time: Cam is to Chizik as JFF is to ____.
