Okay you could replace Pinkel with Malzhan and it would make just as much sense.

Malzahn. Pinkel still hasn't played a west team or an east team worth a shite.

Pinkel

Some were saying he was about to be fired before the season started.

For keeping the level so high and complacency so low

Much more difficult than improvement IMO

its only mid way through the season, so reserving judgment on COY at this point, but no to your comment. Unless its his fault that there needed to change the culture and desire and results held previously. if so, then he does not deserve COY for cleaning up his own mess

Why didn't you say that in the first place.

Pinkel with small lead right now. Both would be deserving.

Pinkel in the lead on Oct 23rd. Gus Bus is hot on his tail though.

Up to this point, I would say Pinkel.

If Mizzou ends up with at least a 10-2 record, probably still him. Both coaches are doing a very good job.

The reason I think it would be Pinkel has a lot to do with him coaching for a team that is only in it's second year in the SEC, and is making quite a good impression, after a disappointing inaugural year in the conference.

Pinkel finally started making some needed adjustments, biggest positive change is our new OC. Fact still remains that Pinkel has a mostly healthy team this year, as opposed to the squad that needed triage last year.

Pinkel if they make it to Atlanta, Malzahn if Mizzou falters, and Saban if he wins another Championship.

It's pretty fricking clear

Pinkel's season is better because players got healthy from last year

Malzahn's season is better because he came in and changed everything, using the same players who failed last year, to be a great team

Malzahn way trumps Pinkel and it is not even close

One is due to coaching, the other is due to healthiness

Is recruiting not part of coaching?

malzahn, and its pretty obvious. pinkel has been around this team for a while, and really the only reason they werent good last year was because of injuries. malzahn took over a team that had quit, changed the entire program, brought in new coaches, and took a team that was 3-9 (0-8), to competing for the west. and as much as you want to say were not, we control our destiny right now. if auburn finishes 10-2 its close to a miracle. i dont think i saw a non auburn fan on here pick us to go above 8-4 at best

It's really coach of the year, Saban not included. Everyone knows he's the best coach in the league, and has done the best job. But, it's expected of him.
