It seems so weird our tempo is so low, you would swear by watching the games we';d easily be in the Top 100. Very very rarely do we seem to be using the shot clock and taking it under 10. That being said, a lot of ball movement which we do could cause lengthier possessions. Wade preaches pushing the tempo though so we get less set defenses to go against.

My guess would be - and this is just a guess - that Wade knows that his depth is limited this year and he can't quite go crazy tempo. So, they work it, he talks it, but in the end he knows they just aren't able to do it full speed.
Avery was the same way our first 2 seasons, and then this season when we finally acquired a lot of depth we turned into a totally different team stylistically.

I think it is more the style Mike likes to play. He seems to not mind giving up easy shots sometimes when teams break the press or during some trap situations. If they get it, they get it, but they won't be getting it all night long and they won't have the energy left to get it at the end of the game.
