Barnes is paying the price for the recruiting he did during the Schofield/Williams/Bone years. No urgency to add to those guys and it was all developmental guys who have busted outside of Pons. Just an awful roster here. Team will really have to scratch and claw to make it to Dayton imo. I do think this freshman class will turn out to be pretty good. It isn’t going to help a lot this year I don’t think but it’s the best class he has signed by far outside of the Bone/Williams/Fulkerson/Bowden class. James, Nkamhoua, Gaines will all be good players.

They will have at least 7 new guys next year but I think they still need a grad transfer big.

He should have added to last year’s team even though he had everybody back from a 27 win team. If they had added a big who could play when Alexander/Williams were in foul trouble they go from being one of the 6-8 best teams to one of the 3-5 best.

This roster is really, really lacking though. I understand the excuse was that they weren’t expecting Williams and Bone to leave early but the inability to do whatever it took to add an impact scorer of some kind in the spring once it was obvious those 2 were gone is going to kill them.

I think we would be half decent if Uros was cleared and Turner's should wasn't such an issue. Plus add Vescovi in January and a healthy Turner is playing off the ball and he's lethal again.

I don't see more than 8 SEC wins. Not sure that's enough? Wisconsin at home is a must-win.

Bama should have hired him instead of Oats.

I think Oats was a solid hire but Forbes at Bama would have been scary.

Beat Wisconsin and get to 9-9 in the league and you probably squeak in. Not sure how good Uros actually is but I do think Vescovi should help.

Hopefully Forbes follows Barnes but doubt he lasts that long. Somebody probably hires him in a couple months. Hopefully it’s Wake or somebody where we could still lure him away.

Barnes coaches this year and next years and retires. Forbes holds out and gets sophomore Walker/Johnson/Springer and junior JJJ. Make it happen Fulmer.

LSU going against a very good coach tonight. Should still win by 7-10 points but could be a very tricky game.

ETSU finally got one. They'd been knocking on the door for 3 years.

SoCon has been a really damn good league the last 2 years. Hell, ETSU/UNCG/Wofford/Furman have done about as well OOC as the entire SEC has this year.
