This season may prove very costly for the kitties (rent-a-player plan didn't work out too well, in that they are all leaving according to everyone). Too bad they didn't get any banners for Rup.
They probably would've been taken down in a few years anyways...

You want me to link you his comments regarding FL dropping him from recruitment? You are severely misinformed. Brandon still lists Florida.

Evan Daniels, Scouts main basketball recruiting expert, said on the Gary Parish show last week Knight dropped Florida.
No link it was on the radio.

Florida stopped recruiting Knight, but an offer is still on the table. Billy is going to get a guard for next year, and doesn't want to waste his time.
Knight confirmed that Florida, as was reported by Scout.com last week, has backed off its recruitment of him.
"I still have an offer (from Florida)," Knight said. "They're not not recruiting me. They're just trying to make sure they get a point guard before the signing period is over."
Knight, the two-time Gatorade National Player of the Year who attends Pine Crest School near Fort Lauderdale, said he hasn't eliminated the Gators, even if coach Billy Donovan isn't pursuing him as hard.
Some have suggested that by backing off on Knight, Donovan has conceded that another school --- likely UK --- will sign him, so he's moved on to other prospects, including trying to maintain star junior Austin Rivers' commitment.
Knight didn't speak to those specifics and didn't tip his hand at all as to whether he's going to pick UK. He did say he respects Donovan's decision.
"I don't feel anything wrong with (Florida's decision)," he said. "It's smart. As a head coach, you don't want to put all your eggs in one basket and not end up with anything.
"They just don't feel as strongly as they did before. Since they're the hometown school, they thought I would have signed early or something of that nature. I'm not exactly sure."

Apparently UT has that swagga b/c they must have out bid Cal for Harris since UK wanted him badly.

Harris' Dad is a sports agent who is good friends with Ernie Grunfeld and Bernard King, I think that helped more than anything.

So... Brandon Knight will be at UK, like I've been saying.

The way recruiting looks now and considering who is all returning, UT should have the most talent this year, unless Kentucky finishes crazy strong. If Tennessee lands Selby, then UT can be outstanding next year. However, that's just potential. Bruce Pearl has shown he can get decent players to overachieve. However, he must now show he can get elite players to play to their potential consistently. If he does that, and demands the players exert themselves defensively, Tennessee wins the East with or without Selby, in my opinion.

Don't count MSU out because we're losing Jarvis and Barry. We're returning one of the conference's best point guards, one of its best 3-point shooters, and we'll finally have Renardo Sidney on the court in time for conference play, who will be a superstar if he lives up to a fraction of his hype. We'll also have several key reserves back from injury so one or two starters won't be playing 38 minutes a game like this past year.
