He's gonna recruit and get LSU to the tournament most years. He'll struggle as an in-game coach, no question.
But results are all that really matter.
After this season, Alabama will have made the NCAA Tournament once in the past ten seasons. And have won zero NCAA Tournament games in ten years.
A great program you guys have going over there.

Well Avery can watch than clown on TV in the NCAA Tournament after his team finishes under .500 in conference.

I know, amazing you did under his guidance. He's trash. You won't find many that know the game that think he's a good coach.

Who's saying he is?
Scott Drew isn't a good coach. Baylor has made the Elite Eight twice during his tenure. There's more to being a college basketball coach than game strategy and in-game adjustments.
But it's pretty clear you don't understand that.

Is Jones expected to have a good class next year? Have not even looked at any basketball recruiting outside of Arkansas.

Not really 2 juco guys and 3 4 year players. We will have to wait and see what returns from this team. Probably a year like arky is having currently

It really does matter. A big reason that LSU fans are happy with him is based on recruiting alone. Most LSU fans will admit that a lot of coaches could have got more wins with this roster. If he is not able to continue to recruit well then there is a lot more pressure.

Hmmmm, if that is the case then he will need a good class for 2017-2018. Mike got a little bit of a pass this year because we lost more than expected but he will have a lot of pressure next year.

Actually, yeah I do. I would just hate to waste talent like he does.

I think LA is loaded with talent the next year. We shall see. Next years team could be better than some expect but we won't know until then. Too worried about the current year.
